Agreed Report on Board of Management Meeting 

Information discussed at Board of Management Meetings is of a confidential nature. At the end of each Board meeting, the Board will decide which matters may be reported.

Date of Board of Management Meeting: Wednesday 26th May 2021 via  Zoom

Information for reporting to parents, staff and the school community following meeting of the Board 

The Principal welcomed the Board. The Minutes of the previous meeting and the Agenda were agreed .
The Chair discussed with the Board how the ethos of the school may be reflected in the new policies being drafted and in any reviews of existing policies.
Two policies, Parents’ Complaints Procedure and The SPHE policy were deferred for ratification to the next Board meeting to allow for minor changes that were agreed by the Board. It was agreed that a policy on the use of photographs and a policy on Data Protection should be developed.
The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Dr. Delma Byrne and approved by the Board.  The next meeting will attempt to ascertain the required funding for the next academic year.
The Principal’s Report was read in advance by the Board and was comprehensive and informative.  It was agreed that a Fire Drill would be scheduled in the coming weeks.
No Correspondence.
The Board discussed the issue of temporary accommodation and the need to pursue the Department of Education on the provision of a permanent site in the Killester,Raheny, Clontarf area. Work on this will be progressed in the coming weeks. Local public representatives will also be contacted for clarification on progress with the site that was proposed in the Dail last year by Minister Foley .
Health and Safety monitoring is ongoing.
An update was provided by the Principal, Niamh, on the ongoing progress of the PGA and parental involvement was welcomed and supported by the Board.
The Chair proposed a vote of thanks to the Principal and all the staff of KRC on the great work they are doing with the children. This was seconded by Niall who spoke on the wonderful progress being made and the time and support given to the children
The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, 24th of June at 7.15pm.
