Information for reporting to parents, staff and the school community following meeting of the Board 

 Agenda and Minutes of March meeting approved. 
The Board thanked the staff for the resilience they have shown in light of the major disruptions caused by the ongoing COVID pandemic.  The entire school community has worked together to ensure that there has been the minimum disruption. The Board is delighted with the recent announcement that we will move into our permanent premises in Killester in September. To date we have not had an opportunity to view the building but we will keep the school community updated on progress
Updates to our website in the coming weeks will ensure that all information and news is available to both the school community and those who follow us.
The Treasurer’s Report and details of most recent transactions were presented to the Board. Delma will work closely with the School Association to assist in the setting up of account
Principal’s Report included updates on enrolment, staffing and staff updates.
Building updates: The Board will ensure that the entire school community is kept updated on our permanent premises in Killester.
  Work has commenced on the development of a Communications Policy for the school. A further meeting took place with the Chair and Secretary of the Board and their corresponding officers on the SCA.  Meetings will regularly take place between the Chair of the SCA and our Principal Niamh.
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,  1st June at 7.15 Enjoy the current holidays.

Information for reporting to parents, staff and the school community following meeting of the Board 

 Agenda and Minutes of January meeting approved. 
The Chair welcomed back our Principal, Niamh O’Toole. Thanks were recorded to Mary Therese Fields and Siobhan Dunphy  for the part they played since September. The Board also welcomed the news of our newly announced permanent premises. The Chair will follow up with the Minister to get further information on the new accommodation.
It was agreed that all necessary school policies will be published on school website.
The Treasurer’s Report and details of the recently submitted school accounts were presented to the Board.
Principal’s Report included updates on enrolment, staffing and staff updates. An Introduction to Wellbeing with Fiona Forman will hopefully continue throughout the remainder of the school year.
Building updates: The Board will continue to inform the school community on any further information with regard to our permanent premises in Killester.
  A copy of “What is an Educate Together National School” booklet was made available to all parents and guardians in January.  The Board suggest that this document should be read carefully as it answers many questions that may arise on ethos and Educate Together principles. Niamh and Carmel will recommence work on the identification of the KRC  Mission, Vision and Values. This will be done in consultation with the entire school community. A further meeting is scheduled to take place with the Chair and Secretary of the Board and their corresponding officers on the SCA. 
The next Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,  6th April at 7.15pm.

Agreed report on Board of Management Meeting December 2021 

Date of Board of Management Meeting: Wednesday 8th December 2021 via  Zoom

Information for reporting to parents, staff and the school community following meeting of the Board 

 Agenda and Minutes of October meeting approved. Mary-Therese Fields welcomed as Acting Principal
Health and Safety Report to be reviewed by Principal for next meeting. Reminder that this is a legal requirement.
The Treasurer’s Report was presented by Dr. Delma Byrne and approved by the Board. 
Principal’s Report included   a draft copy of a Fire Drill/Evacuation Policy.  This was agreed in principle and may be revised in light of the outcome of the first Fire Drill. Student teacher Sophie Keane completed her placement in KRC and was praised for her engagement and rapport with children.  Proposed After School activities will be looked at in greater detail in consultation with the SCA. A number of COVID safe activities are scheduled for the end of term including online Pantomime and a Wonderland  Walk.
Building updates: The Board has been assured that discussions on a permanent site for KRC are at an advanced stage. Paddy Monaghan met with the SCA on behalf of the Board to bring them up to date on progress. The Board agreed that a request from the SCA to send a letter to local representatives to lobby the Minister was discussed. It was agreed that this was an SCA decision but the Board would ask that any correspondence acknowledge the ongoing negotiations and highlight the need for certainty on location for the next intake of enrolments.
Formal communication has taken place with the SCA on a number of areas including School Location, Finance, Fund Raising and After School Activities.  The Board looks forward to meeting with the SCA at a combined meeting in January.  Date to be agreed.
